The Marquis + Farwell Team has rounded up a list of events we are most excited for this October.
October 2 - Movies on the Lawn at the Madrona: SCREAM
Partnered with AVFilm Festival, our summer movie series features a lawn-seating style experience with an outdoor tasting lounge and pours from local wineries. Each ticket includes admission, popcorn, a snack & a complimentary glass of local wine, headphones, cozy-chic blankets, and tufts by Northern Californian designer Erica Tanov. With each ticket purchase, you're entered to win one of several special giveaways which will be revealed at the end of the event and will include curated gifts from our partners: From stays and brunches to special wine tastings or products from our marketplace - it will be a surprise and delight.
October 4-6 - Just between friends North Bay

October 5 - Kendall Jackson's Farm to Table Series
Join us for our final Farm-to-Table dinner of the season as we welcome guest Chef Casey Thompson. Chef Casey will team up with our very own Chef Tracey Shepos Cenami and Master Culinary Gardener Tucker 'Farmer T' Taylor to highlight the day’s harvest from our culinary gardens, our friends at Snake River Farms, and plenty of Kendall-Jackson Estate wines.
October 6 - St. Francis Winery Presents "23rd Annual Blessing of the Animals"
Join us on the first Sunday in October for our Blessing of the Animals fundraising event! Bring your furry friends, scaley sidekicks, aquatic acquaintances, and pals of the animal kingdom. Take part in this “adorable” afternoon to help raise funds to support this year’s animal charity. The festivities will include the ever-popular “Winery Dog of the Year” contest, raffle prizes, wine, local fare, and a blessing for every animal that attends. Proceeds from this event will be donated to the local non-profit animal charity.
October 12 - The 2024 Sonoma County Harvest Fair
The purpose of the Sonoma County Harvest Fair is to highlight our County’s agricultural, industrial and recreational opportunities. The Fair’s inception was in 1975, and is considered one of the premiere regional wine judgings in the country. It draws a considerable amount of attention and interest on both a statewide and national level.
October 13 - Healdsburg Crush on the Plaza
Calling all wine lovers, mark your calendar for Healdsburg Crush! Join us for the ONLY wine tasting event held on the Healdsburg Plaza. Taste limited production Pinot Noir and Sparkling Wines from over 60 of California’s top wine producers, all while enjoying the beautiful Healdsburg Plaza.
October 19 - Murder Mystery Night at Spicy Vines
Embark on a night of intrigue and indulgence at our Murder Mystery Dinner Party. Members and friends are invited to a sumptuous four-course dinner taking place in mid-century France as the evening’s soirée will slowly unravel a captivating tale of passion and betrayal. This dinner promises an unforgettable fusion of fine dining, exclusive wines, and a riveting mystery. Prizes await the keenest minds and most stylish sleuths.
October 25 - Halloween Family Style with Bricoleur
Happy Halloween! Join us for a spooky "Family Style with Bricoleur"! Get festive and come dressed up, we will be hosting our annual Halloween costume contest! As a family-owned winery, we are passionate about gathering together as a community. We are excited to be hosting family-style nights at Bricoleur. So bring the kids and the dog, we can't wait to have a beautiful family wine dinner with you all! Come enjoy the beauty of Bricoleur Vineyards and kick off your weekend with us!
October 25 - Hocus Pocus Under the Stars - FREE Movie night with AVFilms
Join us for our last FREE Movies Under the Stars of the season. The Sanderson Sisters will kick off your Halloween festivities with the timeless classic HOCUS POCUS. Concessions and music will begin at 5:30 p.m., and the film will begin at dark. Concessions include all of your movie theater favorites—popcorn, candy, and soda! Bring your own chairs, blankets, and anything else you need to get comfortable, relax, and enjoy the movie!
October 26 - Bewitching Banshee Bash
Join us for our 4th annual spooktacular Halloween party! This event will be our most epic yet, hosted in our new estate barrel room! Come sporting a costume if you’re feeling ghoulish and get to know us Banshees and our spine-tingling wines. There will be eerie nosh and nibbles, haunting tunes on vinyl and wines will be sold by the glass and by the bottle. We will also be open later for our industry friends to come and enjoy with us. Get ready for a frighteningly good time!
